Things to Do

Where to Eat

Breakfast:

El Chile Toreado Food Truck: This is the best breakfast burrito you will ever have. Ask for red or green sauce on the side, but be careful. They're HOT.

Cafe Pasquals: Great brunch, downtown, will be busy. Go put your name in and walk around the plaza!

The Teahouse:On Canyon Road! Lovely outdoor breakfast patio and a great area to explore.

Cafecito: Great breakfat, lunch or dinner spot with a fantastic patio and wine list.

Lunch/Dinner:

Tune Up: Our favorite neighborhood diner. Los burros, Pupusas, and Lamb Tacos are great. Service will be slow, it's part of the charm.

Tesuque Village Market: Outdoor/indoor cafe. Slightly out of town, but beautiful setting! This is the village where Mary lived when she first moved to Santa Fe.

La Choza: Classic New Mexican fare, and fantastic drinks. If you have to wait for a table, walk the rail trail towards town.

Cafe Pasquals: a little fancier, incredibly good food! Downtown so you get to enjoy the Plaza at night.

Where to drink

For the beer drinker: Brakeroom or Tumbleroot Brewery.

For the margarita drinkers: La Reina (inside El Rey Court of course!) Coyote Rooftop Cantina, or La Choza.

For the wine-o: La Mama, a tasting at Gruet Winery, or Cafecito.

For the views: Bell Tower Bar inside La Fonda Hotel gives an incredible view of Santa Fe. Go at sunset and sit outside!

What to do

Best thing to do in Santa Fe (next to eating and coming to our wedding) is hiking and day-tripping! Highly recommend downloading All Trails App so you can find hikes appropriate for you!

For those who need something chill, go walk the Nambe Badlands, Audobon Loop, or Diablo Canyon! The road to Diablo is rough gravel so keep that in mind. The views are incredible so don't let it stop you.

For other hikers, the Cerillos Hills trail is a favorite sunny spot for us and so is the Aspen Vista trail for fall colors. La Vega Meadow is awesome as well and starts at the Ski Basin.

If you find yourself half of a day. Go up past Los Alamos and to the Valles Caldera. Hike the East Fork Trail. You could also take the winding, hellish road up to the most gorgeous hot springs we've ever been in; the San Antonio Hot Springs. This drive to and from Santa Fe is glorious, we always take our lunch up there and make sure to download good albums for the drive :)

A Day (or two) Trip

Taos is a quaint, artist town in Northern New Mexico. Take the "high road to Taos" for incredible views, hit Wheeler Peak for a hard hike (or stop short at the lake overlook!), eat insanely good food at Bomb Street or Aceq, and drink at Corner Office. Stay at an Airbnb on the Mesa with incredible views!
